Mondragó Natural Park
Mondragó Natural Park, declared a protected nature reserve in 1992, is located in the municipality of Santanyí and is one of the most visited destinations in Mallorca. One of the most striking features of this natural setting is the connection between its two beaches: Mondragó Beach and S’Amarador Beach. Mondragó Beach, accessible from the Santanyí area, has a parking lot just a 5-minute walk from the shore. Right next to it is the park’s information point, where you can get details about all the available routes. This beach offers shower facilities to rinse off the sand, a restaurant serving lunch and dinner, and it is also the starting point for several trails. S’Amarador Beach, accessible from the Felanitx area, has a parking lot less than 500 meters from the beach. From here, the rest of the park’s hiking routes begin.
The connection between these two beaches is made via a coastal path that runs along the sea, offering stunning views. During the summer season, you can see numerous boats anchored nearby and many swimmers enjoying this breathtaking natural setting.
Just a 15-minute walk away—approximately 1 kilometer—and passing the small cove of Caló d’es Borgit, you’ll find Sa Barca Trencada Cove. This beach, with its fine white sand and crystal-clear waters, features a beach bar and a shop offering diving equipment. It is surrounded by Mallorcan pine trees, low shrubland, and holm oak forests. There is free parking available near the beach, and for those looking for a longer route, you can continue walking along Cap des Moro until you reach Punta des Savinar.
