This new service will be included in our Smartlock rate, and our customers will be able to pick up and open the car directly in our car park, without having to enter the office or go to the counter to collect the keys.


Next, let’s take a look at how our new Smartlock rate works:

  1. When you make your booking on our website, choose the Smartlock rate. As with any other rate, you will be able to select the pick-up and drop-off location or the airport..

2. You will receive an email to fill in all your details, the Easy Check-in form. As you do not have to go to the counter, you will send us all your documentation through this link.

3. Once all the data has been filled, the link will be updated with the licence plate number and location. Now it’s time to sign the contract with your mobile phone.

At this point and with the contract in front of you, all you have to do is follow the steps in the link you will receive by email to open the car, take the keys from the glove compartment and start enjoying your stay on the island and your experience with ROIG Drive Mallorca!

5. Before the end of your rental contract with us, you will receive a link to lock the car. Leave the keys in the glove compartment of the car, make sure you don’t forget anything inside, confirm the option to lock the car and complete the end of the contract.

The Smartlock Rate is a system of autonomous collection and return of the vehicle that is carried out with the mobile phone through a link. Thanks to this system, our customers can pick up their rental car without having to go to the counter and without the need for keys, thus avoiding possible queues. All you need is a smartphone with a camera and an internet connection. Once you make your booking, we will send you a link by email and/or sms that you will have to open on the day of your arrival at the airport. You don't need to download any app.

It's very simple! Once you have checked in online, we will send you a confirmation email within 24 hours.

This email includes a link that you will have to open on the day you have to pick up your car.

It is important that you take into account the pick-up time, as the link will not work until 45 minutes before the selected pick-up time.

Once you open the link, don't worry, just follow the steps below.

You must attach a valid copy of the documentation in .jpg, .jpeg, or .png format. The maximum file size allowed is 1MB. The image must be of high quality, clear and uncropped.

Passports and passport booklet documents: the image must show the full page where the personal data and photo are displayed. Documents in card format: both sides of the document are required.

Only documents that meet the characteristics detailed below will be accepted:

  1. The document must be valid and show a clear facial image.
  2. All personal details on the document must match the details filled in at the online check-in and must show:
    • Name and surname.
    • Date of birth.
    • Date of issue and expiry date of the document.
    • Document number.
  3. The document must be valid.

The child seats and maxicosis will be in the boot of the booked vehicle. Please note that, by legal terms, it is the customer and the person responsible for the child who must install the child seat in the vehicle.

Yes, you can hire an additional driver as long as you provide, as with the main driver, a photo or copy of your ID/Passport and driving licence during the online check-in process.

Yes, with the Smartlock rate you can pick up your rental car at the airport for a supplement of 15€ per pick-up and/or 15€ per return.
Also, remember that the exit ticket for the airport car park is not included in the rate and you will have to pay it at the airport on departure.

Once the rental period is over, the keys must be returned in the following way: leave the keys in the glove compartment of the car (the system will ask you for a photograph), make sure you do not leave any belongings inside the vehicle, lock the vehicle and confirm the end of the contract by following the steps indicated in the link.

The link that you will receive by email 24 hours before the start of your booking will indicate the location of your car, and before the pick-up time you will also receive the number plate so that you can locate the vehicle.

The Smartlock rate has no pick-up and drop-off times, it can be done 24 hours a day, with no night-time surcharge.

Yes, our Smartlock rate has a full tank/full fuel policy. You will receive the car with a full tank of fuel and you will have to return it full.

No, as you do not go to the counter, payment must be made in advance in order to complete your booking.

In the event of a possible failure of the autonomous unlocking system, ROIG undertakes to deliver the vehicle and the keys to the customer in person, at the agreed delivery point, in the shortest possible time.
