New SMARTLOCK Rate

At ROIG Mobility & Experiences, we are pleased to announce that we have launched a new service that will accelerate the car rental pick-up and drop-off process in Mallorca. This new service will be included in our Smartlock Rate, and our customers will be able to pick up and unlock the car directly in our parking lot, without the need to enter the office or go through the counter to collect the keys.

The fastest pick-up and drop-off service ever

  1. When making your reservation on our website, choose the Smartlock rate. As with any other rate, you can select the vehicle pick-up and drop-off office or the airport.

2. You will receive an email to complete all your details through the Easy Check-in form. Since you won’t need to go to the counter, this is where you will send us all your documentation via the provided link.

3. Once all the details are completed, the link will be updated with your car’s license plate and location. It’s time to sign the contract through your mobile phone.

4. At this point, with the contract in hand, all that’s left is to follow the steps from the same link to open the car, grab the keys from the glove compartment, and start enjoying your stay on the island and your experience with ROIG Drive Mallorca!

5. Before finishing your rental contract with us, you will receive a link to close the car. Leave the keys in the glove compartment, make sure you haven’t left anything inside, confirm the option to lock the car, and complete the end of the contract.

The Smartlock rate is a self-pick-up and drop-off system for the vehicle, done through a link on your mobile phone. Thanks to this system, our customers can pick up their rental car without having to go to the counter and without the need for keys, thus avoiding potential queues.

All you’ll need is a smartphone with a camera and an internet connection. Once you make the reservation, we will send you a link via email and/or SMS, which you will need to open on the day of your arrival at the airport. No app download will be required.

It’s very simple! Once you’ve completed the online check-in, we will send you a confirmation email within a maximum of 24 hours.

This email includes a link that you will need to open on the day you are set to pick up your car.

It’s important to keep in mind the pick-up time, as the link will not work until 45 minutes before the selected pick-up time.

Once you open the link, don’t worry! Simply follow the steps we provide.

You will need to attach a valid copy of the documentation in .jpg, .jpeg, or .png format. The maximum file size allowed is 1MB. The image must be of high quality, clear, and uncropped.

Passports and booklet-format documents: the image must show the entire page with personal details and the photo. Card-format documents: both sides of the document are required.

Only documents that meet the following requirements will be accepted:

  1. The document must be valid and show a clear facial image.
  2. All personal information on the document must match the details filled out in the online check-in and must display:
    • First and last name.
    • Date of birth.
    • Date of issue and expiration of the document.
    • Document number.
  3. The document must be valid.

The baby seats and Maxicosis will be located in the trunk of the reserved vehicle. Please note that, for legal reasons, it is the customer and the responsible party for the child who must install the car seat in the vehicle.

Yes, an additional driver can be hired as long as a photo or copy of the ID/Passport and driver’s license is provided for them, just like with the main driver, during the online check-in process.

Yes, with the Smartlock rate, you can pick up your rental car at the airport by paying a 15€ fee for pick-up and/or a 15€ fee for drop-off. Additionally, please remember that the airport parking exit ticket is not included in the rate and must be paid at the airport upon exit.

Once the rental period is over, the key return must be done as follows: leave the keys in the car’s glove compartment (the system will request a photo), make sure no belongings are left inside the vehicle, lock the car, and confirm the end of the contract by following the steps provided in the link.

The link you will receive by email 24 hours before the start of your reservation will indicate the location of your car, and before the pick-up time, you will also receive the license plate number to help you locate the vehicle.

The Smartlock rate has no specific pick-up or drop-off hours; it can be done 24 hours a day, with no additional night-time surcharge.

Yes, our Smartlock rate follows a full-to-full fuel policy. You will receive the car with a full tank and must return it in the same condition.

No, since you won’t be going to the counter, payment must be made in advance to complete the reservation.

In the event of a possible failure of the autonomous opening system, ROIG is committed to delivering the vehicle and keys to the customer in person at the agreed drop-off point as quickly as possible.
