DESCRIPTION
The art of producing organic manmade pearls was invented by Majorica on Mallorca in 1890. They are made and selected by hand, one by one, in a process that mirrors that of cultivated pearls.
Majorica pearls are made up of an opaline crystal nucleus that has the same density and weight as the finest cultivated pearls, covered with multiple coats of ‘pearl essence’, an extract obtained from organic elements taken from the Mediterranean Sea using a special technique whose secret is jealously guarded. Visitors are welcome to visit the factory and onsite store.
