We recommend that you take a route around the historical monuments to discover the culture of Mallorca.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Mallorca Cathedral<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We begin with one of the best monuments <a href=\"https:\/\/roig.com\/en\/what-to-see-palma-de-mallorca\/\">to see in Palma de Mallorca<\/a>: the Cathedral of Mallorca. This building is the symbol par excellence of the city, and it is a cathedral <strong>built between the 14th and 16th centuries<\/strong>, a perfect example of Gothic architecture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When you walk in, you will be able to discover part of Mallorca&#8217;s artistic heritage, with works from <strong>different periods<\/strong>, such as Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque and Contemporary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Royal Palace of La Almudaina<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Royal Palace of La Almudaina is a building located very close to the Cathedral in Palma. It is the official residence of the Spanish monarchs on the island and is <strong>open to the public<\/strong>, so you can visit its luxurious rooms and courtyards.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is also home to the chapel of Santa Ana, a Gothic-Roman construction with a Pyrenean marble entrance that will leave you speachless.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The Lluc Sanctuary<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Lluc Sanctuary is one of the most important religious monuments in Mallorca and the island&#8217;s place of pilgrimage. This sanctuary is located in the heart of the Tramuntana mountain range and is surrounded by nature.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There, you will also find a botanical garden, a house of spirituality, a museum, a shelter and some restaurants. It is located on Carrer de Portella in Palma and is housed inside an <strong>old Baroque palace<\/strong> built in the 16th century, which is practically intact.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through its rooms you can take a tour that goes from prehistoric times to the 19th century on the island. Finally, you can stroll through the sculpture garden or have a drink in the caf\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The Lloren\u00e7 Villalonga House Museum<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Lloren\u00e7 Villalonga House Museum is located in Binissalem, in a <strong>typical Mallorcan building known as Can Sabater<\/strong>, where the writer took refuge during the years of the Civil War.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The aim of this museum is to disseminate the work of<strong> one of the most important Mallorcan writers of the 20th century<\/strong>, as he was the author of an extensive literary and journalistic oeuvre. This space is also used to host all kinds of activities related to contemporary island literature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Yannick and Ben Jakober Sculpture Park in Alc\u00fadia<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Yannick and Ben Jakober Sculpture Park is a perfect activity for visitors of all ages. Here you can find sculptures from ancient times, in the form of a dog, a bull, a cat, a horse, an elephant and a hippopotamus. The beauty of this space is the <strong>atmosphere created by the sculptures<\/strong> when they are exhibited in such a beautifully landscaped area as Alc\u00fadia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can&#8217;t leave the area without strolling through the rose garden, as it is a real experience for your senses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Best street art murals in Mallorca<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are one of those people who are not that keen on seeing art in museums, but prefer to wander the streets of the cities in search of street art, you are in the right place.
