A bit of planning goes a long way here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">General tips for driving in the city<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Palma\u2019s old town is full of pedestrian areas and one-way streets. Using an up-to-date GPS is highly recommended, and if narrow streets feel tricky, it\u2019s best to stick to underground car parks or the main roads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Types of zones: blue (ORA), green, and park and ride<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If parking on the street, always check the colour of the lines:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Blue zone (ORA):<\/strong> Paid parking with a time limit, usually up to 2 or 3 hours. Payment can be made at meters or via apps such as MobiAPPalma.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Green zone:<\/strong> Mainly reserved for residents. Non-residents can park, but at a higher cost and for a very limited time. Here are a few tips to keep in mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Parking at the beaches of Santany\u00ed<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Coves such as Cala Llombards or Cala Santany\u00ed <\/strong>offer free parking, but spaces are usually gone before 10:00 in peak season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Our advice:<\/strong> if the main car park is full, avoid parking on the roadside, as tow trucks are very active here. Arriving early in the morning or later in the afternoon is the best option. If parking along the main road, make sure the car does not cross the white line; otherwise, you are almost sure to get a fine.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Public car parks in S\u00f3ller and Port de S\u00f3ller<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>S\u00f3ller is at the heart of the mountains and has its own rules:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>S\u00f3ller town: <\/strong>Use the Can Piz\u00e0 car park or the one in the Cetre area.
