Es uno de los pocos castillos de<strong>\u00a0planta circular\u00a0<\/strong>de Europa. Su construcci\u00f3n se inicia a principios del siglo XIV por orden de Jaime II, Rey de Mallorca, combinando las funciones defensiva y palaciega.<\/p>\n\n<p>El Edificio y el bosque fueron cedidos por el Estado al Ayuntamiento de Palma en 1931, que lo convirti\u00f3 en sede del Museo. En \u00e9l se desarrollan numerosas actividades culturales y l\u00fadicas.\u00a0<strong>Existen visitas guiadas para visitarlo.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>Puede acceder al castillo en coche.
